About Getaway Pines

Getaway Pines plans nature weekends for women who would rather be looking at a lake than looking at a screen. We collect mountain, lake, and small-town escapes across the US — with the photo spots, the food nearby, and a printable itinerary for each one.

How we plan

We are curators, not tour guides. Every guide starts from official sources — national and state park sites, tourism boards, and public maps — and we link them so you can verify anything yourself. We have not personally stood at every overlook, and we say so instead of pretending otherwise. What we do is the homework: which sunrise point, where to eat after, and how three days fit together.

What you get from each guide

Photo spots worth the early wake-up, a short map of food and cafés nearby, and a 3-day itinerary you can print and fold into a back pocket. Guides are updated as parks change hours, fees, and road access — check the date at the top before you go.

Money, disclosed

Some guides contain affiliate links for tours, cabins, and gear. When they do, the disclosure page says so first. Our privacy policy explains the bare-minimum data we collect.
